Prince William 'a big fan' of Eddie Izzard

Prince Charles and Eddie Izzard chatted in French before the show

Prince Charles met the cross-dressing comedian Eddie Izzard on Wednesday night before the comic performed at London's Wembley Arena.
The Prince revealed to him that his son Prince William is a big fan and has watched all of his videos.
"My eldest has told me to tell you he is very impressed with your act," he said.

Izzard performed before a sell-out 11,000-strong crowd at in aid of the Prince's Trust. The show was the only UK performance of his Dress To Kill set, and all the ticket sales went towards the charity which helps young people.
Izzard admitted to the Prince that he had tried to get hold of a copy of a 10-minute film that Prince Charles had made some years ago:
"I wanted to use it. It shows you have a great sense of humour," said the comedian.
The two ended their meeting with a conversation in French after Izzard revealed that he often performs in the language when he is touring in France.
Throughout the two-and-a-half hour comedy show Prince Charles sat next to comedian Stephen Fry.
Izzard made jokes in his act about Queen Victoria, comparing her to the overweight Star Wars character Jabba the Hut. But despite the insult about his famous ancestor Prince Charles appeared to enjoy the performance.
At the end of the show Izzard thanked the crowd and said: "This is for the Prince's Trust. Charlie thought it up and it's a great idea.
"Charlie is here tonight and he's got a bit of vision - it's cool, a great idea. Well done to him."

By Mark Vent:

Mr Izzard seemed phased by the large gathering of people and the bright lights.

The photo of a man with a stool up his bum was simply too much to take for some audience members.

Mr Izzard's paranoia grew, he was sure the large chappie on the screen was following him.
